directly inspired by early 1980s BMX races. Set right in the center of the village, the track will be temporary, cutting across the public space over roughly 220 meters. The goal isn\u2019t to stage a modern competition, but to recreate a vibe: the raw energy of the early Californian BMX days, with a tight-knit crew of riders and maximum proximity to the crowd.<br \/>The name THE BIG GANG BMX nods to the cult 80s film Le BMX Gang, combined with the idea of a \u201cBig Bang\u201d of energy erupting in the middle of the village. One crew, one race, one explosive visual and sonic moment&#8230; fully woven into the natural rhythm of the event.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The format is built around a roughly 220-meter sprint, with up to four riders lining up at the start. Two to three features will be integrated along the track, giving riders the opportunity to jump and express their style while staying true to the early \u201980s race spirit. This isn\u2019t a modern freestyle contest; it\u2019s a sprint where speed and style go hand in hand. THE BIG GANG BMX is designed as a cultural capsule within the village. It\u2019s not a modern competition, it\u2019s an experience. Performance matters, but style and spirit matter just as committee, and participants will receive confirmation by email. The number of riders is limited. Detailed information about the meeting point and schedule will be provided once participants have been confirmed.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Rider Gear<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p>Rider gear must meet safety standards. An approved full-face or BMX helmet is required. Long pants and gloves are mandatory, while knee and elbow pads are strongly recommended. An early \u201980s-inspired dress code will be encouraged, with retro jerseys and bright colors, to enhance the visual coherence of the activation.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Content &amp; Usage<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p>Wheels and Waves is a cultural and visual playground.
