CONCERT LIVE
ALLAH-LAS
SUNDAY JUNE 25th
From Los Angeles California, Matt, Spencer, Miles, Pedrum aka Allah-Las will stop in Biarritz to perform on Sunday June 25 right above Ocean for an exceptional gig closing Wheels and Waves 12th edition!
Biarritz will be, before Paris, one of the only two French dates of the Californian band, currently on a world tour.
Between folk and surf music, let’s listen to their sound coming from a place not found on any map in a timeless moment right after the Sunday brunch at the Village.
DON’T MISS OUT!
ABOUT Allah-Las
“A ship in harbor is safe, but that’s not what ships are built for” the saying goes. But suppose the proverbial harbor is Los Angeles — a place not particularly known for being the origin of adventures. From the Spanish Conquistadors to the countless starry-eyed nobodies hoping to make it big, LA is usually the destination.
So it’s no wonder the Allah-Las became fascinated with both the carefree spirit and glitter-in-the-gutter lifestyle of their hometown. After four records mining its lore and lure (from the desert to the sea) they have become global ambassadors of not just a place but a location.
Formed in 2008 by Miles Michaud, Pedrum Siadatian, Spencer Dunham and Matthew Correia, Allah-Las is produced by singer and songwriter Nick Waterhouse. The religious reference in their name is inspired by the British band The Jesus and Mary Chain, band from which they will do covers on The Lagniappe Sessions in 2015, before the release in 2017 of an EP covering George Harrison and Television.
In October 2019, the band released the album LAHS, described as “the perfect atmospheric soundtrack to a backyard party with long drinks.” French magazine Les Inrockuptibles writing about it an “exciting world tour” that can be explained by the diversity of languages used… Let’s travel worlwide with Allah-Las!
