Alain Bourdon reads in mind. As a graphic designer, he presents himself as a translator, decoding intentions, tracking down meaning to give it form. From graphic identity to posters, from signage to museography, he approaches projects with the stoicism of the ancient philosophers who are among his bedside books.
His creations for the Grand Palais, the Orchestre de Paris, the Ministry of Education and fashion houses bear witness to a wide-ranging approach that excludes no discipline, from new technologies to urban planning, arts and crafts techniques.
Cerebral and earthy, this lover of curiosity cabinets, rock climbing and serial music, has made his passion for surfing the subject of “The Minimalist Wave”. An “obsessive project about a wave” that the graduate of the Arts Décoratifs (EnsAD) declines over the encounters and the tides, obeying a ritual process. His series, a model of purity and elegance, hypnotizes. We hope it will be endless.
